Deal with weeds during June and July. Autumn rain came late this year but new small weeds will now be showing, especially if there are some worn or bare patches. Hand weeding is possible but a simple spray with Yates or other brand of lawn weeder will quickly deal with the problem. If there are some ‘Old Man” Cape Weeds present, a second spray at an interval of 4 weeks should kill them.

Wait until early August before applying a good lawn fertiliser. ‘Sudden Impact for Lawns’ or ‘Blade Runner’ are both excellent.
