Summer

Lawn care during summer is mostly involved with making sure that they get sufficient water. Little and often watering can be disastrous as small roots head upwards in search of what little water is available and then on very hot days they are burned. A thorough soaking twice a week is much more satisfactory, Another dose of the fertiliser Sudden Impact for lawns at 4-6 weekly intervals will provide a rich green lawn resistant to te activities of the whole family

To aid in lawn recovery apply a good dose of Sudden Impact for Lawns or better still, where the main grass species is Kikuyu use ‘Blade Runner’. Take care to remove or spray any weeds, such as Capeweed or Lawn Daisies. Do not cut lawns too low in Summer as this is likely to allow the grass cover to open up with resultant drying out and the potential for weed growth in the spaces.
